Welcome the first team from our favourite fence sitting podcast host Corey
Lloyd has grown on me so much this week and after doing the research (Stats Lab) and the change to the kick-out rule I think he’ll put together another outstanding season
Laird and Whitfield will go no where and can’t see how either don’t finish top 6
Zac Williams is my floater atm and most likely first to go if I need a structure change (mainly rucks) will elaborate in the ruck section
Rookz all subject to change, if you don’t have Wigg get him in
Titch wasn’t in my early side so not too much change needed there.
Held Josh Kelly all of last year through the injury, can’t see how I don’t have him this year.
Cripps will be the king at Carlton again and continue to dominate the share of their SuperCoach points
Can’t see how Neale doesn’t go to the lions and take his game to the next level, the tag is going to Zorko because we all know he struggles to play through it and I love the pieces around Neale to accommodate him, I seriously think we could see Titch like number from him in 2019
Crouch and Zerrett are underpriced imo and I think both will have better seasons than last, Zerrett finished last year so strong and that’ll carry into 2019 (article on elites website)
Libba will remain in this side if he gets through preseason unscathed, will get plenty of talking from me in podcast this preseason. We’ve seen him do it before and will be a terrific stepping stone to a top 8 mid - (could hurt the likes of Dunkley)
My Rookz In the midfield are players who I’ve had an eye on for a while whether it’s excellent form in the magoos last season or just players who need to find their feet
Well Grundys numbers don’t lie, 2018 was beyond amazing and I think he could be the first ruckman in years to go b2b #1 ruck
It’s a tough challenge but basically playing as an extra midfielder I'm willing to pay the $700k asking price
Now Mumford... I know he’s missing the first couple of weeks and it’s a crazy play however if we get a young cheap ruckman, someone who’s ready to take their game to the next level or just given a chance early and can plug a hole for those first couple of weeks it’s a play that could seriously pay off
He’ll generate the cash needed too and be the stepping stone to the next best when we get a little bit more insight in the rucks for 2019!
Sam Naismith is one I think who could push his way into that #1 ruck spot at the swans as they potentially use Sinclair as a pinch hitting ruck fwd.. time will tell
If I don’t get it then I’ll have a look at Goldy or Gawn
Dangerfield is a lock and if you don’t own him just go get him, no one serious about this game goes into the season without him!
I would’ve looked at Heeney if he was a mid only so think this is another great gift
Toby Greene was in my side for a while at F3 however he’s not even fully up and running so not a risk I want at this stage, time will tell
Instead I’ve got Daniher there, I know it’s light on however structure can change if Rookies aren’t available!
Essendon open the fixture with 6/7 games in Melb including the likes of Lions, Stk and North
Daniher will fly up $$$$ Think he’s priced very nicely and it’ll give us a look at the rest of the forwards who I have questions on early
Cockatoo I similar, he’s had the fitness talk and all reports early he’s putting in the hard yards, expecting a quick rise if opportunity is granted
Setterfield should be locked in and all other rookies TBC.
(STILL IN SERIOUS CONTENTION)
