AFL ROUND 7
Round The Grounds
Designed to find those Supercoach gems form the state leagues!
Either upcoming or down the track who should we be keeping an eye on?
Bolton is normally known for his blistering speed and outside run and carry however the talented youngster won the game basically off his own boot as an inside midfielder as Richmond walked out 1-point winners over Casey.
Bolton currently sits with a BE of -48 after scores of 75 and 58 in his system and with Jack Riewoldt having a stint on the sidelines with Grade 3 tear in his PCL, you’d expect him to come back this weekend after a week back in the magoo’s.
He was the man Carlton moved up to draft and has spent his early season in the VFL playing behind the ball for the Northern Blues and due to Inj to Simpson and Newman a spot may just open up for Stocker.
off the back of 19 and 17 disposals in the last two weeks. Keep an eye on Williamson to who’s likely to return.
Its seriously not often here if ever id write about a player who wasn’t a cash cow option, however I think its super vital to mention that Blakely returned to the Peel line-up after suffering a serious hamstring inj early in the year!
He was touted as the man most likely to fill the void left by Lachie Neale and it will be amazing to see what happens to Mundy/Walters on his eventual return to the seniors.
Blakely got through the game unscathed with 20 disposals and 4 marks, another week for Peel and then a potentially return to Fremantle is what I’m expecting – WATCH!
Keep and eye out over the upcoming weeks – expect to the Peel youngsters to feature plenty!
This man may just get a weekly copy and paste however it’s going to be hard for Wilson to burst into such a deep clearance-based midfield.
Wilson had some disciplinary issues to deal with after some off season mishaps however has returned back to some of his best football averaging 32 disposals a game for the Adelaide seconds.
Will become super hard to ignore him if form continues after another 30 disposal, 9 tackles and a goal it’s a matter of not if but when we get him in our team.
5 Goal haul on the weekend – not super SC relevant but wouldn’t mind seeing big Billy finally make a mark on the AFL – could find another club in the future if opportunities don’t present themselves.
Three year in the AFL and we are now starting to see the best from Corey Lyons!
Class and an ability to find his own pill Lyons is one that’ll get an opportunity later in the year, averaging 25 disposals last NEAFL season.
After a slow start collecting 38 disposals on the weekend the 20 year old has a long way to go to and needs to find some more consistency in his game.
Where would I be if I didn’t mention the Cum Express in my first article of 2019!
A 28 disposals, 8 brilliant marks and 4 solid tackles Cumming deserves to feature here, we know GWS have an amazing stacked def and Cumming will need to continue to perform in the NEAFL to get another opportunity.
Is it this week with Whitfield potentially missing? Think consistency will need to improve.
